Stuart Cowen
Stuart is Head of the Criminal Department and has been employed in the area of criminal law for almost 20 years. Initially he was a Magistrates Legal Advisor in London and Essex before moving to Sanders Witherspoon where he has specialised in Criminal Defence work for the last 10 years.
Since being admitted as a Solicitor in 2000, Stuart has dealt with many different types of criminal cases ranging from road traffic cases to offences of dishonesty and serious violence. He specialises in sexual offences.
Stuart is a Duty Solictor and is experienced at representing Clients at the police station. He conducts all types of hearings in the Magistrates including trials.
In 2010 Stuart became a Higher Rights Advocate and has expanded his expertise into the Crown Court.
