In some circumstances the police will receive information that a person has been driving a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol but will not arrest them until sometime later after the driving has taken place. Very often, particularly when an accident has occurred, that person may have consumed alcohol after driving.
Post accident alcohol consumption is a common defence and one which we have years of experience presenting to the Courts. We have access to a number of expert witnesses who can undertake back-calculations and determine what the level of alcohol would have been at the time of driving. With reliable expert evidence the prosecution can find it extremely difficult to disprove the defence.
